बोकारो महिला महाविद्यालय का इतिहास

1. बोकारो महिला महाविद्यालय की स्थापना २९ मार्च १९७६ अर्थात आज से ४० वर्ष पूर्व चास, बोकारो एवं आस – पास के गांवों की दलित पिछड़ी छात्राओं को शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए बोकारो इस्पात प्रबंधन की सहायता से सेक्टर ३ ई के मिडिल स्कूल में हुई। बोकारो इस्पात प्रबंधन द्वारा मात्र विद्यालय स्तर तक की शिक्षा ही दी जा रही थी, लेकिन हमारे महाविद्यालय ने महिलाओं के लिए महाविद्यालय स्तर तक की शिक्षारूपी दीप को प्रज्वलित किया.

2. वर्ष १९८१ से हमारे विद्यालय में डिग्री स्तर तक की पढ़ाई हो रही है। छात्राओं की वर्त्तमान संख्या करीब ३००० है। यह महाविद्यालय UGC के 2 F और 12 B के प्रावधानों के अन्तर्गत रजिस्टर्ड है और विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा कला, विज्ञानं एवं वाणिज्य तीनों संकायों में स्नातक प्रतिष्ठा स्तर तक स्थायी संबंधन प्राप्त है।

3. इस महाविद्यालय में लगभग सभी शिक्षक पी. एच. डी. उपाधि से सम्मानित एवं बिहार सेवा कॉलेज आयोग द्वारा नियुक्त स्थायी रूप से कार्यरत हैं। महाविद्यालय के लगभग सभी शिक्षक एवं शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी सृजित पद पर कार्य कर रहे हैं।

4. महाविद्यालय में शिक्षक एवं शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारियों की नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया में सरकार द्वारा निर्देशित आरक्षण नियमों का शत – प्रतिशत पालन किया गया है एवं विश्वविद्यालय तथा राज्य सरकार द्वारा समय – समय पर दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन किया जाता रहा है।

5. बोकारो महिला महाविद्यालय को सेक्टर – ५ में बोकारो इस्पात प्रबंधन द्वारा १० एकड़ भूमि आवंटित किया गया है। सेक्टर ३ / ई में तीन एकड़ भूमि में निर्मित भवन में तत्काल महाविद्यालय की कक्षाएं संचालित की जा रही है। कुल मिलकर इस महाविद्यालय के पास १३ एकड़ जमीन उपलब्ध है।

6. वर्ष १९८७ में २९ मार्च को तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री श्री बिंदेश्वरी दुबे ने सेक्टर – ५ स्थित भवन की आधारशिला रखी। तत्कालीन राज्य सभा सांसद श्री परमेश्वर अग्रवाल ने सांसद कोष से ३५ लाख रूपए देकर भवन का निर्माण कराया। तत्कालीन विधायक श्री समरेश सिंह ने अपने विधायक कोष से १० लाख रूपया देकर परिसर में बाउंड्री वाल का निर्माण करवाया।

7. हमारे महाविद्यालय के छात्राओं में प्रतिभा की कमी नहीं है। लेकिन सीमित संसाधनों के कारण हम उनकी प्रतिभा शक्ति को प्रखर बनाने में असमर्थ हैं। हमारी छात्राएं विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न विषयों में हमेशा टॉपर रही है। हमारी छात्र किरण साहू ने १९९० में जैवलिन थ्रो में एशियाई गेम्स में दूसरा स्थान प्राप्त किया। वर्ष १९९४ में इंटर जोनल यूनिवर्सिटी, वॉली बॉल गेम्स में हमारी छात्राओं ने Solan University, हिमाचल प्रदेश में हिस्सा लिया। इस महाविद्यालय की छात्र कंचन पांडेय, जो हमारे ही महाविद्यालय में कार्यरत चतुर्थवर्गीय कर्मचारी नीलाम पांडेय की सुपुत्री हैं, २००१ में Football Games जो बंगला देश में खेले गए, भारतीय टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और भूटान एवं नेपाल को हराकर Champion Team का हिस्सा बनी। प्रिया रानी ने २००३ में झारखण्ड स्थापना दिवस के उद्घाटन समारोह में कत्थक नृत्य में सर्वप्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। विनोबा भाव विश्वविद्यालय एवं Inter College Tournament में हमारी छात्राएं २००३ – २००४, २००४ – २००५, २००५ – २००६ में लगातार तीन वर्षों तक Hattrick बनाकर Champion रहीं।
विनोभा भावे विश्वविद्यालय के इंटर कॉलेज, Basketball टूर्नामेंट में २००३ – २००४, २००४ – २००५ में Champion और २००५ – २००६ में Runner रहीं। हमारी छात्रा नफीस तरीन ने Brail लिपि में कुरान लिखकर इतिहास रच दिया है।

8. हमारे महाविद्यालय में वर्ष २००५ से झारखण्ड सरकार के निःशुल्क महिला शिक्षा प्रावधान के निर्देशानुसार सभी छात्राओं को निःशुल्क शिक्षा प्रदान की जाती है। अंगीभूत महाविद्यालयों में निःशुल्क शिक्षा से होने वाली नुकसान की भरपाई सरकार द्वारा की जाती है लेकिन हमारे महाविद्यालय के लिए ऐसा कोई प्रावधान नहीं बना। निःशुल्क शिक्षा प्रदान करने की वजह से हमारे महाविद्यालय की आर्थिक स्थिति दिनों – दिन ख़राब होती जा रही है।

9. हम अपने महाविद्यालय के नए प्रांगण के लिए भवन विस्तार, प्रयोगशाला भवन, स्टेडियम आदि का निर्माण चाहते हैं। महाविद्यालय में B. Ed., BCA, B.B.A., Fashion Designing, Skill Development के साथ – साथ P.G. Courses भी खोलना चाहते हैं। साथ ही छात्राओं को तीरंदाजी, मार्शल आर्ट, क्रिकेट, ताइक्वांडो आदि की ट्रेनिंग भी देना चाहते हैं। हम छात्राओं का समग्र विकास चाहते नहीं, साथ ही इस महाविद्यालय को अपने प्रांत ही नहीं देश के शैक्षणिक पटल पर एक विशिष्ट स्थान देना चाहते हैं।

History of Bokaro Mahila College

1. Bokaro Mahila Mahavidyalaya was established on 29th March 1976 i.e. 40 years ago in the middle school of Sector 3E with the help of Bokaro Steel Management to provide education to the Dalit backward girl students of Chas, Bokaro and nearby villages. Bokaro Steel Management was providing education up to the school level only, but our college lit the lamp of education up to the college level for women.

2. Since the year 1981, our school is teaching up to degree level. The present strength of girl students is around 3000. This college is registered under the provisions of 2 F and 12 B of UGC and has permanent affiliation by Vinoba Bhave University in all the three faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce up to the graduate prestige level.

3. Almost all the teachers in this college are awarded Ph.D. degree and are working permanently appointed by Bihar Service College Commission. Almost all the teachers and non-teaching staff of the college are working on the created posts.

4. In the recruitment process of teachers and non-teaching staff in the college, the reservation rules directed by the government have been followed 100% and the instructions given by the university and the state government from time to time have been followed.

5. Bokaro Mahila Mahavidyalaya has been allotted 10 acres of land by Bokaro Steel Management in Sector-5. The classes of the college are being conducted immediately in the building constructed on three acres of land in Sector 3/E. Altogether 13 acres of land is available with this college.

6. In the year 1987, on 29th March, the then Chief Minister Shri Bindeshwari Dubey laid the foundation stone of the building located in Sector-5. The then Rajya Sabha MP Shri Parmeshwar Agarwal got the building constructed by giving Rs 35 lakh from the MP’s fund. The then MLA Shri Samresh Singh got the boundary wall constructed in the campus by giving Rs 10 lakh from his MLA fund.

8. In our college from the year 2005, free education is provided to all the girl students as per the instructions of Jharkhand Government’s provision of free women education. The loss due to free education in the affiliated colleges is compensated by the government but no such provision has been made for our college. Due to providing free education, the financial condition of our college is getting worse day by day.

9. We want to construct building extension, laboratory building, stadium etc. for the new campus of our college. The college offers B. Ed., BCA, B.B.A., Fashion Designing, Skill Development as well as P.G. Also want to open courses. Along with this, we also want to give training to girl students in archery, martial arts, cricket, taekwondo etc. We do not want the overall development of the girl students, and also want to give this college a special place not only in our province but also on the educational platform of the country.
