The Bachelor of Education, commonly referred to as B.Ed., is a professional program designed to prepare teachers for teaching at the upper primary or middle level, secondary level, and senior secondary level.

The Department of Education at Bokaro Mahila College, Bokaro, was granted affiliation in 2005, and the academic session commenced in 2006.

Aim & Objectives:
– To train dedicated teachers for schools in the state of Jharkhand and across the country.
– To equip teachers with the necessary skills to teach effectively at the secondary and senior secondary stages.
– To provide comprehensive training encompassing mental, physical, cultural, social, moral, and spiritual aspects.
– To produce proficient professionals in the field of education.
– To foster leadership qualities among students and prepare them to take initiative and risks.

Eligibility for Admission:
– Academic: Graduates and Post-Graduates in Science, Commerce, and Arts.
– As per NCTE norms, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in a recognized University’s degree examination.
– Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55%, or equivalent qualifications, are eligible for admission.
– Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories will be in accordance with the rules of the Jharkhand Government.

Please Note:
Candidates falling under the following categories will not be considered for admission:
– Those awaiting results of the University examination.
– Those who have received marks from the cross-list only.
– Those already enrolled in other courses such as Computer Science, Management Training Program, or any Post Graduate Studies.
